Your Journey to Wellness and Tradition
Embracing Nordic Tradition and Natural Wellness
Inspired by the timeless Finnish sauna culture, we created a welcoming forest retreat where warmth and wellness thrive in harmony with nature. Our values center on respect for tradition, community connection, and providing a healing, peaceful experience away from daily stress.

MORE ABOUT THE SAUNA
The sauna is located on the grounds of Frog Hollow Cabin, a cozy and secluded retreat for visitors to Northeastern Connecticut or anyone seeking a peaceful getaway. Tucked along the banks of the French River, Frog Hollow Cabin offers an ideal stay for couples during the warmer months, from March through November.
Guests can enjoy kayaking, canoeing, an outdoor shower, forest bathing, a cowboy tub, and access to the sauna. Interested in pairing a sauna session with the full Frog Hollow Cabin experience? Overnight stays are available March through October, while standalone sauna sessions are offered November through March.
THE PLAN / HOW IT WORKS
Save Your Seat — Book Your Sauna Session

1. Arrive &
Get Settled
Your attendant, Gary, will walk you through everything you need to know to enjoy your sauna experience. Arrive with your swimsuit and towel, and we’ll have the wood stove warming so you can ladle water onto the stones and enjoy soothing steam.

2. Sweat, Cool, & Reset
Relax into the heat for 15–20 minutes, then step outside to cool down or take a cold plunge. Allow your body time to adjust, rehydrate with water (2–4 glasses recommended), and repeat the cycle as desired—listening to your body throughout.

Step 3: Cool Down & Rebalance
After 15–20 minutes in the sauna, step outside to cool down or enjoy a refreshing cold plunge. Allow your body time to adjust, rehydrate with water (2–4 glasses recommended), and repeat the cycle as desired—always listening to your body.
